She does what she loves and loves what she does. These are things every healthy woman longs for. Yet the majority of women find themselves concerned because they are not energetic, lack time to complete the necessary day to day tasks. They find they are often overwrought, overworked, tired and not doing what they love. Do you long to be a healthy woman? Then there are a number of concerns you have about your health. These include but are not limited to physical issues, relationship challenges, and mental health challenges. Following is a list I have compiled of some top concerns: Menstruation Birth Control Heart Disease Menopause Sexual Health Breast Health and Diseases Reproductive Health Fitness and Exercise Pregnancy Mental Health Cancer Aging Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death in women in the U.S.? More women die of heart disease each year than die of all types of cancer combined. If you do smoke, quit. The consequences of smoking and its negative affect on health have been documented over and over again. To achieve your goal as a healthy woman you must quit smoking. Exercise, exercise, exercise! Shall I repeat? Find a program of exercise you enjoy. 30 minutes 3 times a week at a minimum for a healthy woman. Strength training, aerobics, cardio workouts are good, but walking is the best for a healthy woman. Eat a healthy diet and maintain a healthy weight. Yo-yo dieting is terribly hard on your health, and I might add your sanity. Low calorie diets, low carb diets, quick weight loss diets all fail for one simple reason. They train your body to stay in starvation mode. To be a healthy woman you need to eat. That's right eating. Eat balanced meals 4-6 times a day. Eat until you are satisfied not full. Raise your metabolism and you will be able to control your weight. Use alcohol only in moderation. One alcoholic drink per day should be the limit. Not drinking at all even better. A healthy woman considers her options. Save the alcoholic drink for special occasions and even then only have one. Following the four steps outlined above will reduce your risk of heart disease substantially. Another benefit of following these heart disease prevention steps is that you'll also be preventing or reducing your risk of obesity, stroke, high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, and many types of cancer. Eat fresh organic, locally grown food. Wear your seatbelt.
