Flower Remedy for Pets
I first discovered a flower remedy blend known as Rescue Remedy. This blend of five flower essences is useful for treating trauma. I consider this blend as the #1 reliever of everyday stress. For example I think most cats resist transportation to the vet for checkups. My cats have always had a difficult time with this. Using a Flower remedy for my pets is the first line of defense in protecting them from negative emotions. I have also used this remedy when introducing a new pet into the house. you may find this flower remedy for pets to be useful in treating fear of loud noises, anxiety, shock , trauma or any other upsets. I use the Bach flower remedies for treating pets as well as the FES flower remedies. The following list may help you in determining a flower therapy regime for your beloved pet. I have included flower remedies from both Bach and Flower Essence Society (FES).

This remedy helps with resentment and bitterness and often helps cats that urinate everywhere, due to a change in the household, such as the arrival of another animal or a baby. (Bach) The most common method of use for a flower remedy for pets is very simple. I have found adding 1 – 4 drops to the drinking water, or food to be the easiest method. I have also used the flower remedy directly on the pet, applying to the pads, nose, ears, lips or forehead. The animal will either lick it off or it will be absorbed. Depending on the issue you may use the flower remedy for your pet once a day or many times a day. The flower remedy may need to be used for several days. Animals and children respond very quickly so look for changes. The larger animals such as horses, cattle, pigs, etc. will need a larger dose of the flower remedy up to 10 drops. Our pets are very sensitive to their environment and you may find using the flower remedy in a spray bottle to be effective. To do this add 1-10 drops in 4 ounce spray bottle fill with clean water, not tap water, and spray the pets sleeping area. I have also found that we often are the source of our pets discomfort. Encourage the whole family to take the same flower remedy that you give the pet. The use of a flower remedy for your pet will be a great experience for you and your pet. Enjoy the happy results! |
